Vintage Street Style

We've been keeping ourselves busy this week photographing stylish men on the streets around the London Men's Collections for the Telegraph Fashion Blog.

This dapper chap told us he was wearing original 1940's US marine trousers, a vintage 1930's hunting vest and a 1950's jacket.  We thought they were in superb condition given they'd been around for over half a century - forget Primark, investing in vintage really does reward you with classic, well-made items that can last a lifetime!

We also adored this snappily dressed gentleman we recently came across - 70 year old artist George Skeggs, a flamoboyant character who told us he never followed fashion and has lived in Covent Garden since the 1960's.

If you like the look of George, have a look at The Luminous Eye, a blog run by NLVM organiser and photographer Ali which features unusual people with an eclectic sense of style

We're back in Crouch End for our next market on September 7th - hope you can join us!

Dog Show

Massive thanks to everyone who attended and participated in our Dog Show as part of our June market at the weekend, we loved seeing so many canine characters and a brilliant £135 was raised in the process for North London Hospice!

We're also hugely grateful to fantastic Crouch End vintage shop Painted Black, Banners restaurant and The Maynard Arms for their very kind prize donations to winning dog owners

We're back on Saturday September 7th, more details to follow, hope you can join us then!
